Principal Duties And Responsibilities
- Demonstrate ownership of and ability to manage project assignments with a broad scope and high level of complexity and able to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner
- Transforming information from ideas, sketches, product drawings, or models into workable prototype devices
- Operating all support equipment within the Prototype shop
- Set-up and run Prototype equipment
Skills
Expected Areas of Competence (i.e., knowledge, skills, and abilities)
- Candidate should be familiar with CAM, preferably with Mastercam, ESPRIT, or similar (ideal but not required
- Candidate should be familiar with CNC mills, 3 & 5 axis, CNC Swiss lathes and CNC Grinders.
- Candidate should be familiar with solid modeling principles, preferably in Autodesk Inventor.
- Candidates should be familiar with inspection equipment/methods
- Must have a strong understanding of manufacturing fundamentals.
- Must have working knowledge of drafting standards and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Must have the ability to effectively work within a team and cross functionally to expedite completion of critical project tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- 10 years of machining experience preferred
- 5 years of experience with CAD/CAM modeling and CNC programming experience preferred
- 5% or less
