Preschool Administrator
Zimmer Preschool | Basking Ridge, NJ
Zimmer Preschool is a warm, nurturing early childhood program dedicated to providing exceptional care and education for young children. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and personable Office Administrator to support the daily operations of our growing school and organization.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing organization, communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building while helping create an outstanding experience for children, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage enrollment, student and staff records, and administrative documentation
- Oversee tuition billing, payment plans, and payroll administration
- Support hiring, onboarding, and staff record compliance
- Maintain compliance with NJ Department of Children and Families (DCF) licensing requirements
- Coordinate inspections, drills, and safety documentation
- Serve as a welcoming point of contact for families, visitors, and prospective parents
- Communicate with families through Brightwheel, email, phone, and in person
- Support marketing, website updates, and school events
- Coordinate building operations, supplies, vendors, and facility needs
- Assist the Director with the day-to-day operations of the preschool
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and take initiative
- Professional, warm, and welcoming demeanor
- Strong computer skills, understanding (or able to learn) QuickBooks, Payroll systems, and Google Workspace (experience with Brightwheel is a plus)
- Previous administrative or office management experience required
- Bachelors in Early Childhood or a related field required
- Experience in early childhood education, childcare, or a school setting is preferred
