Job Description
Zimmer Fencing & Decking is looking for an experienced fence installation subcontractor or subcontractor crew to complete residential and commercial fencing projects.
We are looking for reliable, professional installers who can take a prepared project and handle the installation from start to finish with minimal supervision. We provide the sold projects and project specifications; you provide the labor, tools, transportation, and expertise to complete quality installations.
This is a good opportunity for an established fence installer or small crew looking to add consistent projects without having to handle the sales and marketing side of the business.
Types of Projects
Projects may include:
- Wood privacy fencing
- Chain-link fencing
- Vinyl fencing
- Ornamental/metal fencing
- Gates and gate installation
- Fence removal and replacement
- Residential and light commercial projects
Responsibilities
- Complete fence installations according to project specifications
- Lay out fence lines and post locations accurately
- Set posts properly and maintain correct spacing, grade, and alignment
- Install panels, pickets, rails, gates, and hardware
- Maintain a clean and professional jobsite
- Communicate project progress and any issues that arise
- Complete projects within agreed-upon schedules
- Provide professional workmanship and represent our company well while on customer properties
What We’re Looking For
- Previous fence installation or closely related construction experience
- Ability to independently complete fence projects
- Reliable transportation
- Necessary tools and equipment to perform installations
- Dependable communication and scheduling
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to read measurements and project layouts
- Professional appearance and conduct around customers
Preference will be given to established subcontractors or crews with their own LLC/business, general liability insurance, and fence installation experience.
Compensation
Compensation is project-based and agreed upon before each project begins.
Rates will depend on the type of fence, project size, site conditions, removal requirements, and scope of work.
Our goal is to develop a relationship with a dependable subcontractor who can receive ongoing fence installation projects as they become available.
