JOB SUMMARY:
Operate Interior Fabrication shop equipment, fabricating parts and performing repairs within budgeted time and at ZIM Aircraft Cabin Solutions (ZACS), FAA, and our customers' standards of quality. The CNC operator is responsible to work in a safe manner eliminating waste and delivering a quality product on time.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Perform work as assigned utilizing routine and/or non-routine work cards and/or service bulletins within estimated or budgeted hours and within FAA and ZACS standards of quality with minimal assistance from supervisor.
2. Perform typical CNC and Manual fabrication shop operations; operate CNC/Manual routing and drilling machines (horizontal and vertical).
3. Fabricate and assemble aircraft interior parts and components as directed.
4. Perform layout and prepare shop drawings as required.
5. Perform routine maintenance on equipment as directed in the manuals.
6. Understand and maintain ZACS and customer aircraft maintenance documentation programs.
7. Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the ZACS Team Member Safety Manual.
8. Use and operate safely all appropriate hand tools and other machinery associated with the Interior Fabrication shop.
9. Read and use blueprints, and drawings and engineering orders.

Accountable to assigned Team Leader for performing daily maintenance and/or assignments in a timely, accurate and professional manner.

SECONDARY JOB DUTIES:
- Keep own and adjacent work area clean.
- Perform other work as instructed by assigned Team Leader or temporary lead.
Accountable to assigned Team Leader for performing daily maintenance and/or assignments in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have own tools as required by company tool list.
- Minimum of 2 years as a CNC operator
- Minimum of 2 years in interior fabrication
- Flexible to work any shift and prolonged hours to meet schedule demands.
- Read, write and understand the English language.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be able to wear and breathe through a full face respirator
- Will be exposed to hazardous chemicals, solvents, resins, and adhesives and requires the use of all safety equipment
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolonged periods of time, climb steps, ladders and stands
