Job Title: Senior Profile Developer – Retail Banking Technology
Location: Remote
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Profile Developer to join our Retail Bank Technology division. This role involves the design, development, and testing of software solutions with a strong emphasis on system architecture and integration. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MUMPS, Profile Scripting Language (PSL), and SQL, as well as a strong background in banking software systems. The candidate is expected to lead technical projects, mentor junior developers, and contribute to architectural best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Development Team Leader and business stakeholders to clarify and refine project requirements.
- Lead and manage development tasks, user stories, and team activities in coordination with the Development Team Leader.
- Drive team improvements and proactively identify technical or process enhancements.
- Develop detailed technical specifications based on business and functional requirements.
- Write clean, reliable, and well-documented code in MUMPS, PSL, and SQL.
- Ensure code meets security, stability, and confidentiality standards in line with Capital One’s policies.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Track development issues and resolutions using tools such as JIRA.
- Support junior developers and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience developing on the Profile application using MUMPS and PSL.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in developing banking software, including financial product and reporting systems.
- Minimum 2 years of experience leading projects and managing technical teams.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in system design and implementation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience developing Windows-based desktop and server applications.
- 3 years of experience with Profile Scripting Language (PSL).
- 3 years working in an Agile development environment.
