Role: API TESTER
Location: Hybrid (2 days a week) Ashburn, VA
Duration: 1 year with possible extensions

Description:
To compile, research, analyze and document data, requirements, workflow/ processes, functionality and or controls for respective ISD group. To develop and evaluate information, and prepare recommendations based on analysis for use in decision making. Applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and relates fields. Work on the most complex, high impact projects. Serve as technical specialist or advisor to the respective group.
***Experience testing APIs & using the API testing tool “Postman” (high level of experience with both of these is desired).**
• Ability of capture various levels of detailed requirements (business requirements, system requirements, data requirements, etc)
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts/constraints to business users
• Ability to capture and translate business logic into technical design
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, technical writing experience
• Experience with project management tools such as ADO, Jira, Microsoft Project
• Experience with identifying and writing Epics, Features, and User Stories
• Familiar with agile framework
• Desired: Experience working with API requirements and/or application integration projects
* Assist Quality Assurance Analyst to certify system testing complete & ready for production - Considerable latitude
* Create and edit test cases in accordance with system requirements - Complex/Difficult
* Create, modify and/or locate the data and conditions needed to execute test cases - Complex/Difficult
* Identify areas for improved testing processes - Considerable latitude
* Modify, coordinate and schedule input to maintain the test environments - Basic/Routine
* Report testing activity including time spent, testing time lost and discrepancies found -

Qualifications – All required unless otherwise noted
* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment
* Experience in testing complex systems including various platforms
* Advanced knowledge of development or operations framework methodologies, including Information Technology
Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), etc
* Advanced organizational, planning and time management skills

* Advanced skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines

Compensation: 50-60/hr on w2. This is the targeted compensation range for this role. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
