Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking hands on volunteers and advisors who want to actively contribute time, skills, and expertise toward meaningful impact. These roles are for people who want to do the work and help build something that matters.

We welcome individuals passionate about these areas and about using modern AI and time tested mathematics to make progress:

• Environmental challenges affecting land, water, and air
• Economic and financial insecurity, especially for farmers, artists, and small businesses
• Education and skills development including arts, farming, sustainability, and entrepreneurship
• Healthcare access and well being
• Diversity and social understanding
• Individual well being, purpose, and lifelong learning

What You Will Do

As a hands on contributor or advisor, you will:

• Actively contribute domain knowledge and practical experience
• Participate in research, analysis, and synthesis across real community challenges
• Help design, build, test, or apply AI and generative AI solutions aligned with human centered values
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across technology, arts, education, and community development
• Translate complex ideas into accessible knowledge for communities and partners
• Advisors will provide active guidance, review, and mentorship connected to real projects

Skills and Experience We Value

We value applied, practical experience in one or more of the following areas:

Technology and AI

• Artificial intelligence and generative AI
• Building, training, evaluating, and deploying models in cloud environments
• Applied machine learning, data engineering, MLOps, or responsible AI practices

Mathematics and Statistics

• Probability, statistics, optimization, or applied mathematics
• Data analysis and mathematical modeling to support insight and decision making

Domain Knowledge

• Environmental science, agriculture, or sustainability
• Education, arts, creative industries, or skill development
• Healthcare systems or health education
• Small business operations, entrepreneurship, or local economic development
• Community engagement and diversity focused initiatives

Depth in one area combined with curiosity and collaboration is highly valued.

Time Commitment

• Minimum commitment: 5 hours per week
• Maximum commitment: Flexible, based on your availability and interest
• Consistent, hands on participation is expected
