Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain an organized bar area, ensuring cleanliness and proper inventory management.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and engaging manner, taking drink orders and providing recommendations.
- Monitor customer consumption of alcohol to ensure responsible service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary.
- Assist in managing inventory control, including ordering supplies and tracking usage.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food management practices.
- Train new staff members on bar procedures and customer service standards.
Skills
- Proven experience in a bartending role or related position within the food service industry.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food production processes and restaurant operations.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage customer interactions effectively.
- Experience in inventory control and managing bar supplies efficiently.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience as an assistant manager or in a supervisory role is a plus.
- A strong understanding of food management principles is beneficial.
