Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of commercial vehicles, Class B with Hazmat and will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle loading and unloading tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate propane bobtail delivery trucks, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Transport goods to designated locations while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling of materials.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition before each trip.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise during deliveries.
- Assist with yard jockey duties as needed, moving trailers within the yard to facilitate loading and unloading processes.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Class B w Hazmat endorsement.
- Ability to perform heavy haul operations safely.
- Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures for propane.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
