Position Summary
Zickel Flooring is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in Fenton, MO. This full-time, on-site position is ideal for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on experience and the opportunity to grow within a stable, reputable company.
The Staff Accountant will support core accounting functions, assist with billings and receivables, help with pay applications, and maintain accurate financial records. This role offers exposure to a wide range of accounting responsibilities and the chance to develop into a higher-level contributor over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with monthly billings, receivables, and pay applications
- Support day-to-day accounting operations and data entry
- Maintain accurate general ledger entries and account reconciliations
- Help prepare financial reports and support month-end close
- Assist with budgeting and cost tracking
- Work with leadership to provide requested financial information
- Support administrative tasks related to accounting and finance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred but not required if experience is strong)
- 0–2 years of accounting experience (internships or part-time roles count)
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Excel and willingness to learn accounting software
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and take on increasing responsibility
