Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas, ensuring proper presentation and temperature.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing to meet quality standards.
• Clear and bus tables efficiently, maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support kitchen staff with manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies or equipment while following safe lifting practices.
• Communicate effectively with servers, cooks, and management to coordinate timely delivery of orders and resolve any service issues.
• Keep work areas clean and organized by performing regular cleaning duties including wiping down surfaces and disposing of waste properly.
• Provide excellent in-person customer service by greeting guests warmly, addressing their needs promptly, and ensuring a positive dining experience.

Qualifications

• Previous food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred, including familiarity with food handling and basic food safety protocols.
• Experience working with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus for processing orders efficiently.
• Knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and kitchen operations enhances your ability to excel in this role.
• Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with team members and delivering exceptional guest service.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks involving kitchen equipment or supplies.
• Experience in banquet settings or hotel hospitality environments is advantageous but not required.
• A proactive attitude, reliability, and enthusiasm for working in a lively restaurant atmosphere are key qualities for success.
