Position Summary
We are looking for a reliable and organized Restaurant Operations Assistant to help manage the flow of orders from our kitchen to our customers. This role is responsible for the final check on food quality, making sure orders are accurate, and keeping the packing and pickup area running smoothly during our busiest times.
Schedule & Hours
This is a consistent five-day work week (Wednesday through Sunday). The hours are scheduled around our peak service times:
- Wednesday – Friday: Split Shift | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM & 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:30 PM – 8:30 PM (To accommodate those with morning commitments/services)
Key Responsibilities
- Final Food Preparation: Perform the final finishing and plating of menu items, ensuring all dishes meet our standards for temperature and presentation.
- Kitchen Support: Assist with active cooking tasks and food preparation as required to support the culinary team during service.
- Order Management: Monitor incoming tickets, verify that every order is correct for both dine-in and takeout, and help keep the kitchen on pace.
- Professional Packaging: Pack all outgoing orders carefully to ensure they stay fresh and look professional during transport.
- Communication: Answer the phone for professional order-taking and coordinate with delivery drivers and team members for a smooth hand-off.
- Operational Support: Assist with dishwashing and station organization as needed to maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
Qualifications
- Reliability: A solid track record of showing up on time and staying focused on the task at hand.
- Multi-tasking: The ability to handle several tasks at once—like answering the phone while checking an order—without losing track of the details.
- Communication: Clear and professional verbal skills for talking with both the kitchen team and our customers.
- Adaptability: Willingness to jump in and help with various tasks, from cooking to cleaning, based on the needs of the shift.
- Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred.
- Certification: Must have or be willing to get a Cape Girardeau County Food Handler’s Card.
Pay: From $3,100.00 per month
