Duties
Assist experienced HVAC/R technicians in installing, repairing, and maintaining heating, cooling, refrigeration, and ventilation systems across various properties. Support the setup and interpretation of schematics and HVAC design plans to ensure accurate system installation and troubleshooting. Help with routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system inspections, and equipment cleaning to optimize performance. Participate in plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and refrigerant line connections. Utilize tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and troubleshooting system components effectively. Assist with appliance repair, boiler servicing, ammonia refrigeration systems, and other mechanical equipment repairs. Contribute to field service operations by supporting technicians in on-site repairs, installations, and diagnostics.
Experience
No prior experience required; however, construction or service technician background is a plus. Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, or mechanical knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory—training will be provided. Basic understanding of refrigeration systems—including ammonia refrigeration—and air conditioning systems is beneficial. Hands-on experience with plumbing, equipment repair, welding, or property maintenance enhances your candidacy. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred for field service tasks. Previous mechanic experience or exposure to boiler operation can be helpful in understanding complex mechanical systems. Strong willingness to learn new skills related to HVAC/R technology and safety protocols.
