Construction Technician/ Detailer

Job Summary: The New Home Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful and timely completion of new homes, as well as providing outstanding post-closing support to homeowners. This position is responsible for performing various tasks related to home construction and homeowner walkthroughs, ensuring the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construction Support: Assist with various construction tasks as needed to maintain project schedules and quality standards. This may include light carpentry, painting touch-ups, minor drywall repairs, and other general maintenance. Complete job site cleanup daily by collecting and disposing of scrap, excess materials, and refuse.
• Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of homes at various stages of completion to identify and address any deficiencies or quality issues before homeowner occupancy.
• Homeowner Walkthroughs: Professionally conduct repairs as needed during walk thru to ensure home is ready prior to closing.
• Customer Service: Maintain a high level of customer service, responding to homeowner inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a problem-solving attitude.
• Material Handling: Safely lift and move materials, tools, and equipment up to 50 pounds as required for various tasks.
• Tool and Equipment Management: Maintain and organize tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order and available when needed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for themselves and others.
• Communication: Effectively communicate with foreman, project managers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of issues.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver's License: A current and valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for this position.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions.
• Construction Experience: 1-3 years of experience in residential construction, maintenance, or a related field preferred.
• Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of home systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) preferred.
• Tools: Proficient in the use of hand and power tools commonly used in residential construction and maintenance.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
