Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic distribution team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, and heavy equipment handling. This role involves supporting various aspects of warehouse distribution, including order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and materials handling. Candidates with prior warehouse supervisor experience or familiarity with warehouse management systems are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials safely and efficiently
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to ensure accurate stock levels and order fulfillment
- Assist with stocking, picking & packing orders, and preparing shipments for delivery
- Support shipping & receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and packing lists
- Conduct inventory management tasks including cycle counts and stock reconciliation
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic repairs when necessary
- Support manufacturing or construction-related activities as needed, including heavy lifting and materials handling
- Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Qualifications
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or related fields such as manufacturing or construction
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (AS400 or similar), RF scanners, and inventory management tools
- Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers; certifications preferred but not required
- Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues is a plus
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and best practices in materials handling
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout the shift
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and order fulfillment processes
- Prior experience in warehouse supervision or management is advantageous but not mandatory
