Senior Interior Designer/Architect

ZGF is seeking a passionate Senior Interior Designer/Architect to join our team in our Washington, DC office. We are looking for strong leaders and thoughtful designers with excellent communication and technical skills to join our vibrant and diverse culture of designers, planners, strategists, and industry thought leaders.As a Senior Interior Designer/Architect, you will…Collaborate with and/or manage teams to generate and develop design conceptsClearly communicate design concepts visually and verbally to teams and clientsDevelop those design ideas into lifeHave a passion for programming, planning, materiality, detailing and furnishings   Manage and mentor team members from concept design through construction administrationFoster and maintain relationships with clients and consultantsAssist in developing fee proposals and project schedulesAssist in projecting staffing needs to ensure design success Participate in business development activities and advise in marketing pursuitsQualifications:Applicants must have a professional Interior Design or Architectural degree and 10 years of related experienceDetailing and execution of Revit construction documents with minimal supervisionProficient 3D modeling and rendering abilities in Revit and Enscape is strongly preferredProficient with the Adobe Creative SuiteCommunication, leadership, and organizational/managerial expertiseSubstantial experience in commercial office and workplace interiors Experience in workplace strategy and consulting is a plusExperience with complex multi-phased higher education, federal, and healthcare is a plusNCIDQ certification and/or architectural licensure is strongly preferredLEED, WELL, or FITWEL accreditation are strongly preferredBase Salary Range$101,000/yr - $142,000/yrBenefitsZGF Employees Enjoy Medical, Dental and Vision coverage with a generous employer contribution, HSA with employer contribution, 401k with employer match, 4 weeks of PTO and 10 paid holidays per year, paid parental and family leave programs.Apply With:Cover letterResumeWork samples/portfolioWe know that great projects take more than a design team to become a reality.
