Your Tasks
- Customs Strategy & Compliance: Develop and manage regional strategies to ensure trade compliance, handle daily broker issues, and support shipment clearance.
- Process Improvement & Risk Management: Lead projects to enhance reconciliation processes, manage ISF processes, and assess risks for new trade topics.
- Supplier & Customer Management: Oversee solicitation and qualification processes, address supplier escalations, and improve processes for duty avoidance and customer requests.
- Regulatory & Audit Support: Process CBP penalties and information requests, support government audits, and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
- Training & Reporting: Conduct company trainings on free trade agreements, manage ACE/CARM accounts, and create quarterly KPI reports.
Your Profile
- 5 years’ experience in customs and trade management
- Bachelor's Degree preferred in Logistics, International Trade, or related field (15 years direct experience in customs or international trade will be considered in lieu of)
- Certification in related field preferred
- In-depth knowledge of US/CA customs regulations and free trade agreements
- Experience in project management and process optimization
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and handle multiple tasks
- Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
- Must be willing to travel to other sites as needed
