About the Team: ZF Test Systems develops and produces test benches for on- and off-road mobility. The Test Systems Business Unit is a special machine building branch within the ZF group, specialized in Test equipment design / installation / commissioning. With our North American Test System team, we are serving regional customers in providing turnkey Testing Solutions for their drivetrain and battery testing needs. What you can look forward to as a Test Systems Engineer:
- Execute test engineering operations. Translate test specifications into test program to be implemented into the test equipment according to customer needs.
- Actively participate in the definition of test plans, procedures, work instructions, DVP&Rs, & FMEAs.
- Setup, configure, and operate test setups, software, and instrumentation as required by test plans, test standards & customer guidelines.
- Direct the implementation and deployment of software, testing apparatuses and machines.
- Lead multiple major projects of high complexity requiring innovative solutions & customer interaction.
- Manage long-range project planning and budget tracking for multiple projects.
- Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis for test equipment/software issues in the development & production stage with involvement in escalation/resolution activities.
- Provide specialist-level technical guidance to multiple groups ensuring the completion of testing activities for new & existing products to meet company & customer requirements.
Your profile as a Test Systems Engineer:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field.
- 2-4 years of experience leading technical projects in a product development, testing, and/or manufacturing environment with software focus in the related area.
- In-depth, specialist-level knowledge of lab management software.
- Knowledge of technical landscapes with respect to product testing/design/application/development.
- In-depth understanding of electromechanical systems design, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Comprehensive understanding of testing processes/equipment.
- Proven aptitude with data acquisition, analysis, processing & statistical methods.
