About the Position
As the Finance Manager - Pensions, reporting to the Senior Manager of Pensions World, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and managing global retirement programs. You’ll lead efforts in pension and retiree medical plan design, vendor oversight, and regulatory compliance, while driving accurate IFRS reporting across all regions. From supporting M&A due diligence to managing audits and third-party administrators, you’ll ensure benefits are delivered efficiently and strategically—making a meaningful impact across the organization.
What You Can Look Forward to As Finance Manager for Pensions:
- Managing consultants and HR Managers to effectuate harmonization of Pension Plans including Plan design, vendor selection and administration in accordance with governance principles established by the Corporate Pension Committee (CPC).
- The management of US Retiree Medical Obligations – working with consultants to propose and implement changes aimed at reducing obligations as well as ongoing administration.
- The management of third-party administrators to ensure the delivery of retiree medical benefits and cost effectiveness of providing such benefits.
- The Preparation of proposals relative to changes to pension plan design changes for submission to the CPC for approval.
- On a monthly basis, ensuring that Pension & OPEB (other post-employment benefits) obligations for all countries are recorded in in accordance with IFRS.
- Actively participating in the collection and delivery of information for M&A projects on an as needed basis.
- Providing direction to external auditors relative to their audits of the various pension plans and related regulatory filings.
Your Profile as Finance Manager for Pensions:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA designation preferred.
- 8 years of experience in finance and accounting. Operation and governance of employee benefit plans preferred.
- Strong background in accounting for global benefit plans, as well as an understanding of key financial metrics related to the Company‘s overall business performance.
- Firm understanding & ability to prepare deliverables to management.
- Ability to quickly understand the overall business in order to effectively create and manage project teams from various divisions (Finance, HR, etc.).
- Strong ability to organize, communicate and execute projects from inception to finalization.
- SAP Experience preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
