About the Team:
ZF Commercial Vehicle Systems is looking for a Chassis Application Engineer to play a critical role in bringing advanced chassis systems and modules into customer vehicles. In this position, you will serve as the technical link between customer requirements, ZF product solutions, and internal cross-functional teams, ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost-effective applications delivered right the first time. This role offers broad exposure across engineering, manufacturing, and customer interfaces and is ideal for engineers who enjoy ownership, collaboration, and hands-on problem solving.
What you can look forward to as a Design/Product Engineer:
- Application verification and release for chassis modules.
- Customer support on all technical aspects of chassis modules.
- Cross functional support (e.g. quality, project management, engineering project management) to deliver projects right and on time.
- Assembly Plant support (deviations, drawing changes, etc.).
- Requirements elicitation and specification mapping.
- Product layout and configuration.
- Prototype assembly and inspection.
- Technical customer communication and support.
Your profile as a Design/Product Engineer:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 2 years of experience in Product Engineering in the automotive industry, preferably in vehicle
- function development or vehicle testing.
- CAD experience (Creo is preferred).
- Experience with vehicle sub-systems and operating environments.
- Experience with diagnostics, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
- Ability to work with Digital Mock Ups - Interface checking and fouling checking.
