Job Summary
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Oracle Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate, timely Oracle data across customers, items, sales orders, and supporting supply chain structures. This includes building and maintaining Item Masters, Bills of Materials, and Routings/Work Definitions; entering and modifying customer sales orders; and updating customer-specific data such as pricing, item cross-references, and documentation requirements.
This role ensures data accuracy across Oracle in alignment with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). The position supports inventory control processes and participates in special projects related to ERP, supply chain optimization, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Enter, validate, and maintain customer sales orders in Oracle: ensure accuracy of quantities, ship-to locations, due dates, pricing, and customer-specific requirements.
Create and maintain Oracle Item Masters: item attributes, UOMs, categories, templates, customer cross-references, lifecycle/status codes, revisions, and controlled document links.
Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routings/Work Definitions, including operations, resources, effectivity dates, scrap/yield, and alternates.
Maintain customer-specific data such as customer part numbers, drawings, revision levels, specifications, documentation requirements, and special instructions.
Ensure costing-relevant attributes (cost type, cost category, overhead/absorption flags) are set correctly and handed off to Finance.
Ensure timely updates to sales orders when customers request changes, expedite shipments, or modify configuration requirements.
Support inventory control activities including sub-inventory setup, locator maintenance, adjustments, and reconciliation of data discrepancies.
Work with Planning and Purchasing to maintain correct Min/Max levels, lead times, lot-sizing rules, and planning attributes; help resolve MRP exceptions caused by incorrect data.
Support cross-functional teams (Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Quality, Operations) with accurate data to enable production, scheduling, costing, and compliance.
Participate in ERP and supply chain improvement projects as assigned.
Communicate business-related issues or opportunities to the next management level.
Performs other duties assigned as needed.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in Enterprise Resource Planning software is preferred. Oracle specific experience is preferred.
- Understanding manufacturing data is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience in medical device manufacturing is preferred. Catheter experience preferred.
- Ability to use PC and associated software is required.
