The Operations Controller – Catheter Solutions serves as a strategic business partner to the Catheter Solutions V.P across the three CathX locations of San Jose, CA, Arden Hills, MN, and Costa Rica manufacturing sites. This role leads a team of cost accountants and is responsible for overseeing cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting functions, driving financial performance, and supporting decision-making through insightful analysis. The manager ensures the integrity of cost of goods sold (COGS), and manufacturing variances, while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and financial planning processes.
Lead and develop a team of cost accountants across CathX manufacturing locations.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of product costing, inventory valuation, and COGS across all sites.
Responsible for supporting the P&L elements of revenue, SG&A and CAPEX for the CathX business
Analyze manufacturing variances and partner with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve profitability.
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of standard cost rates for labor, overhead, and materials.
Act as a financial advisor to site leaders, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
Collaborate cross-functionally to support capital investment decisions, cost justifications, and operational strategies.
Lead cost accounting aspects of ERP implementations and upgrades, ensuring alignment with manufacturing and inventory processes.
Identify and implement improvements in cost accounting practices, controls, and reporting.
Support the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasts, and close financial activities.
Prepare and present financial reports and dashboards to senior leadership.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and audit requirements.
Conduct routine inventory audits and cycle count accuracy evaluations.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
5 years of progressive experience in cost accounting or financial management within a
manufacturing environment.
Proven experience managing teams and supporting multi-site operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Oracle ERP or similar systems is highly
desirable.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
