Job Summary:
The Senior Electrical Engineer (Electronic Components) is responsible for the selection, qualification, and maintenance of electronic and electromechanical components to support product design, manufacturing, and customer applications. The role ensures component compliance, reliability, and cost optimization across the product lifecycle.
Objectives of the Role:
Grow and maintain business with best-in-class sales, applications, and customer quality engineering.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide pre-sales technical support from opportunity discovery through design-win; provide customers with ongoing technical support as needed to maintain business.
- Resolve customer quality issues or difficulties in a manner that is consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives. This includes 8D/CAR reports and dispositioning of RMA material in corporation with our factories.
- Generate and maintain product documentation, presentations, and website collateral.
- Coordinate with factories on design concepts and technology used for new products or improvement for existing ones.
- Maintain internal component database and ensure accuracy of technical attributes.
- Manage product safety certifications and compliance documentation.
- Support customers and sales with technical inquiries regarding components or substitutions.
Supervision
Works under general supervision as part of the Engineering department; may provide technical guidance to junior engineers or technicians.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Requires BS in Engineering or related technical field and 5-10 yrs customer facing experience in related field.
- Must have proficient level Microsoft Office experience such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.
- Must be able to read mechanical and electrical blueprints and have a solid understanding of basic electrical and mechanical control systems.
- Ability to read and write English
