Position Summary:
The Chief Experiences Officer (CXO) serves as a key member of Zeta Tau Alpha’s executive leadership team, providing strategic vision and operational oversight to enhance the holistic member experience across all collegiate and alumnae stages of engagement. This leader oversees the Education, Membership, and Harm Reduction departments, ensuring an integrated and future-focused approach that aligns with Zeta Tau Alpha’s mission, values, and long-term strategic priorities.
The CXO drives innovation in educational programming, membership development, and harm reduction initiatives, positioning ZTA as a leader in the fraternal and higher education communities. This role is responsible for cultivating a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, while supporting the professional growth of three Senior Directors and their respective teams.
Responsibilities
- Core duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Provide oversight and strategic direction for member experience strategies and programs for the organization, including strategic plan initiatives and organizational philosophies.
- Provide oversight and strategic direction for the organization’s collegiate chapter services initiatives and functions, including but not limited to recruitment, extension, and chapter operations.
- Provide oversight and strategic direction for the organization’s education initiatives related to member and chapter education, leadership, and member development programming and chapter officer training.
- Provide oversight and strategic direction for the organization’s alumnae engagement initiatives, operations, and functions.
- Provide oversight and strategic direction for the organization’s risk reduction initiatives and strategies.
- Be responsible for and oversee project management for the Experiences team (membership, education, and harm reduction)
- Analyze trends and industry research in higher education for new development opportunities and ensure teams are working in collaboration regarding programming, analytics, etc.
- Ensure the timely flow of information to and from the Chief Executive Officer and headquarters to various stakeholders.
- Assist in the planning and execution of ZTA national events such as leadership academies and Convention.
- Build and maintain a strong working relationship with National Council, FHC/Foundation boards, ZTA volunteers, and International Office staff.
- Collaborate with Chief Executive Officer, Chief Communications Officer, and board members as needed during crisis response situations.
- Represent Zeta Tau Alpha at, and participate in, ZTA events and conferences as well as on campuses and at interfraternal events.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times.
- Ability to travel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in higher education, nonprofit management, organizational leadership, or related field strongly preferred.
- 5 years of progressive leadership experience in fraternity/sorority life, higher education, or nonprofit management.
- Strong supervisory experience with proven ability to coach, develop, and lead senior-level professionals.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in student/member development, educational design, and/or risk management.
- Experience working with associations, volunteer organizations, and board members.
- Membership in Zeta Tau Alpha is required.

Salary : $100,000 - $110,000
