Senior MLOps Engineer - Tech for Social Good
We are partnered with an established start up building AI products that deliver real social impact. Their work focuses on using technology to improve outcomes for underserved communities and they are expanding their engineering team as they scale. They have been profitable for the past three years and are now looking to grow their platform and product capabilities as demand increases.
This role sits at the heart of their AI function, owning the systems, tooling, and infrastructure that allow models to be deployed, monitored, and improved in real world environments.
What you will do
• Build and maintain the infrastructure that supports production AI systems
• Deploy, monitor, and optimise models in live environments
• Design and improve reliable data pipelines and evaluation workflows
• Partner with backend and applied teams to bring new AI features into production
• Strengthen observability, reliability, and automation across the ML stack
What you will bring
• Strong Python experience in production settings
• Experience with model deployment, monitoring, and ML ops tooling
• Familiarity with FastAPI or Flask and modern backend practices
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, containerisation, and cloud platforms
• A pragmatic and mission driven approach to solving real world problems
Location: Oakland with two to three days a week in the office
Comp: up to 220k plus equity
