Zest Floor Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Zest Floor Manager to lead our bustling food service environment. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations on the restaurant floor, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, efficient food preparation, and seamless team management. Duties

• Supervise daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, cooking, and serving activities to ensure smooth workflow and outstanding guest satisfaction
• Lead and train staff in food handling, customer service, POS operations (such as Toast), and safety protocols
• Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
• Oversee cash handling procedures accurately during shifts and ensure compliance with financial policies
• Coordinate shift schedules, assign tasks, and supervise team members to maintain high performance standards
• Enforce food safety regulations and quality standards across all kitchen and front-of-house activities
• Support hiring processes by interviewing candidates and onboarding new team members with comprehensive training & development programs
• Collaborate with management on budgeting, food production planning, catering events, and special functions

Qualifications

• Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management within a quick service or casual dining environment
• Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
• Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and cash handling
• Demonstrated supervising experience with team management, training & development skills
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations; experience with food handling certifications preferred
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
• Ability to manage shift operations efficiently while maintaining a positive team environment
• Previous experience in hotel or catering settings is a plus; culinary or hospitality management background highly desirable
