About the Role:
We're hiring a driven, organized, people oriented outside sales representative on a 1099 basis to join our field team. You'll canvas assigned commercial neighborhoods (Montgomery & Prince Georges County), meet business owners, and schedule free lighting assessments. You'll present tailored proposals with up to 80% of costs covered by EmPOWER Maryland, with the rest eligible for interest free on bill financing.

What You’ll Do:
- Prospect and canvass local businesses using weekly lead lists and field tools
- Explain program benefits and screen for eligibility
- Conducting basic lighting assessments (we’ll train you)
- Collaborate with our estimators and project managers to present winning proposals
- Build long term relations and follow up on warm leads and referrals
- Track your activities and appointments using our sales tracker
- Meet weekly outreach and engagement goals to help drive team success
What We’re Looking For:
- 2 years of B2B sales, preferably in lighting, construction, or facility services
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable with direct outreach, cold walks, and warm follow up
- Organized and self motivated with a results driven mindset
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Bonus points if you:
- Experience with utility rebate programs or lighting upgrades
- Familiarity with Pepco, BGE, or EmPOWER Maryland incentives
- Background in commercial property, schools, retail, or multifamily sectors
