Zero Tax Tags registers vehicles for clients in all 50 states through Montana LLCs. That's the service. At our core we're a tech company making a boring, dinosaur of an industry (The DMV) exciting by automating the processes and paperwork it's buried in. This is a ground-floor seat at a company that has no interest in coming second. We move fast and we're coming for the whole industry.
This is not a corporate job
No cubicle politics, no committees, no waiting three quarters to see a change. This is a get-sh*t-done, get-money environment. It's not about tenure or who's been polite the longest. We reward what makes us money and what saves us money, period. Do that and you'll get paid and promoted faster than anywhere that makes you "put in your time." Forget slowly climbing a ladder. Move the needle and we move you.
The honest truth about the work
Most of your day is the monotonous stuff: working with clients, reviewing and compiling paperwork, and fighting with the DMV over our submissions. That annoying work isn't busywork, it's the raw material. You learn a process by doing it, then you help us kill it, fewer clicks, fewer steps, less friction. You spot what's broken, our developers code the fix. We implement in minutes, not weeks. Flag something this morning, work with the better version before lunch.
The core work is client-facing and honestly kind of boring: consult with a client, figure out if they qualify, then comb their documents to make sure everything's complete and accurate before it moves. Anyone can learn it. This isn't a trade that takes years, put your head down for 2-3 weeks and you'll have it cold. Master this plus bring the sauce, and you unlock damn near everything else in the org. No DMV experience needed. But if you're not serious enough to lock in and actually learn it, this won't work out, and that's fine.
You're who we want if:
- You troubleshoot instead of tapping out. A printer throwing an error, Chrome blocking your mic right before a video call, a second monitor that won't wake up, USB vs ethernet. You Google it, fix it, and keep moving. You don't holler for help the second something blinks wrong
- You think in systems and hunt for steps to cut
- You're competitive by nature. If you've rage-quit a game and immediately hit play again, you've got the temperament
- You're obsessively detail-oriented and never drop an order
- You want to work yourself out of a job so you can grab the next, bigger one. You're not job-scared
Not for you if a tech hiccup rattles you, you need hand-holding, or you want a slow, predictable day. We'll both be miserable, and you won't last.
