Position Overview:

The game master is a vital key in creating a positive experience for all guests of Zero Hour Escape Rooms. Shifts cover weekends. On-call shifts at $9/hour.

Responsibilities and Duties

Overview of Job Responsibilities:

The host/hostess must be able to perform effectively in each of these areas:

• Greet each guest promptly upon their arrival.
• Answer phone, check call reservations and answer messages to ensure that all reservations are booked promptly.
• Ensure that the physical environment within the Zero Hour remains clean and neat and prepared for the guest experience
• Set up Zero Hour promptly after guests exit, ensuring that it is prepared for the next guest.
• Ask each guest to sign a waiver, ensuring that it is filled out completely.
• Guide guests through their adventure, including a brief synopsis of the game scenario, tracking guest progress through the game, and giving hints when needed to ensure that guests have a successful experience.
• Say goodbye to guests and enquire about their adventure at Zero Hour.
• Work with customers to resolve issues that may lead to a less optimal guest experience, and seeking manager’s advice when additional assistance is needed.
• Accept payment from the guests, ensuring that all payments are recorded and accounted for.
• Take photos of our guests with the guest’s personal cameras.
• Bring creative ideas forward to optimize the environment and experience for our guests, and our employees.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience:

Experience working in a customer service environment, either through a paid position or volunteer experience.

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Additional education or training beyond high school beneficial.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Characteristics:

• Strong effective communicator.
• Highly developed, demonstrated teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with internet and social media.
• High comfort level in holding conversations with customers
• Ability to work independently
• Willingness to ensure that each guests has a positive experience at Zero Hour.

Job Type: Part Time

Wages: $18 at-work / $9 on-call
