Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Sales Manager to lead our sales and business development teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic management of sales operations, fostering client relationships, and expanding market presence. The Group Manager will play a pivotal role in developing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and leading a team to meet organizational goals in a competitive marketplace.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hotel sales experience, preferably in group, corporate, or association markets.
- Experience with destination or resort properties strongly preferred.
- Prior knowledge of Utah tourism, Park City/Heber Valley markets, or similar mountain resort destinations is a plus.
- Sales Skills & Knowledge
- Proven track record of generating new group business and converting leads into definite bookings.
- Strong understanding of group sales processes, including prospecting, contracting, and account management.
- Familiarity with CVB partnerships, film commissions, association markets, corporate travel, and sports groups.
- Ability to develop relationships with planners, local organizations, and community partners to drive base business.
- Experience managing group room blocks, forecasting, and revenue strategy alignment.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with hotel PMS, CRM, and sales systems (Delphi, Opera, or similar).
- Strong computer skills including Outlook, Excel, Word, and digital sales tools.
- Ability to analyze reports, market data, and competitive trends to identify opportunities.
Communication & Professionalism
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional presence and ability to represent the resort at meetings, site tours, trade shows, and networking events.
- Ability to deliver presentations with confidence and credibility.
Team Collaboration
- Ability to work closely with Revenue Management, Catering/Events, Operations, and Front Office to ensure flawless group experiences.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Collaborative mindset—supporting a team-first culture in a fast-paced resort environment.
Work Style & Expectations
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to close business and maintain profitability.
- Flexibility to travel within the market for sales calls, networking events, and tradeshows.
- Availability for occasional evenings, weekends, and client events as needed.

- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to walk the property for site tours and navigate various indoor/outdoor resort environments.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
