Our law firm client, one of the nation’s most prestigious mid-sized law firms, has grown to 23 offices across the United States, with approximately 200 attorneys.
Position Summary
The law firm is seeking a proactive and strategic Attorney Recruiting Manager to join its high-performing team. This role is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle for attorneys across the firm, with a strong emphasis on associate and law student recruiting.
The Attorney Recruiting Manager will leverage data-driven strategies, market intelligence, and leadership skills to enhance the firm’s talent pipeline and deliver a best-in-class candidate experience. This individual will work closely with the Talent & Recruiting Partner/General Counsel to design and execute recruiting initiatives that support the firm’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Associate Recruiting
- Serve as a trusted “face of the firm,” delivering a high-touch, professional candidate experience.
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, search firms and the broader legal community.
- Partner with firm leadership to define hiring needs and provide strategic, data-driven recommendations.
- Ensure consistent communication, responsiveness and a seamless recruitment process.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Law School Recruitment
- Lead and manage the firm’s law school recruiting program.
- Coordinate On-Campus Interview (OCI) schedules, select and prepare attorney interviewers, and manage callback processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with law school Career Services offices.
- Oversee firm profiles and submissions (e.g., NALP, Vault, Chambers), ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Design and execute a comprehensive Summer Associate Program, including orientation, training, evaluations, events, and offer conversion processes.
- Track and analyze recruiting metrics (acceptance rates, ROI) to refine strategies and improve outcomes.
- Align recruiting strategies with practice group needs through skills mapping and workforce planning.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of 5 years of attorney recruiting or talent management experience within a multi-office law firm or professional services environment.
- At least 2 years of team or project management experience preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing high-volume, full-cycle recruiting processes.
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong consultative communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and provide data-backed recommendations.
- Proficiency with recruiting systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Microsoft 365.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
