Position Summary

Zerbe Photography, a small business specializing in professional photography services, is seeking a Lead Photographer/Editor to oversee and execute all aspects of photography, editing, and creative direction. The Lead Photographer/Editor will be responsible for capturing high-quality images, managing post-production, ensuring client satisfaction, and supporting the business's creative and operational needs.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Photography

  • Lead and direct photography sessions in-studio, on-location, and outdoors.
  • Serve as Head of the Wedding Department, photographing and coordinating wedding shoots.
  • Provide school photography services, including setup, direction, and large-group coordination.
  • Act as Event Photographer for business, community, and private events.
  • Capture images for gallery wrap and framing projects.

Editing & Post-Production

  • Perform advanced editing, retouching, and color correction as a Photoshop Artist.
  • Execute high-level post-production as a Lightroom Artist.
  • Lead photo restoration projects, including scanning, digital restoration, and photography of original materials.
  • Design custom albums and other photography-based products.
  • Ensure quality control on all edited and final products prior to client delivery.

Creative Direction & Client Engagement

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, preferences, and project goals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service as a Client Care Specialist, answering phones, responding to inquiries, and guiding clients through the photography process.
  • Provide creative input and recommendations for style, framing, and presentation.

Studio & Operations Management

  • Oversee project timelines, ensuring that shoots, editing, and client deliveries meet deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of projects, contracts, and client communications.
  • Train and mentor assistant photographers, interns, and other creative staff.
  • Ensure studio cleanliness and readiness for clients.
  • Coordinate with framing and gallery wrap services to ensure high-quality presentation.
  • All other job duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in photography, Visual Arts, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional photography and editing experience.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro a plus).
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating technical expertise and artistic creativity.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Work performed in both studio and on-location environments.
  • Frequent use of computers, scanners, and photography equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds of photography or framing equipment.
  • Flexible schedule required, including evenings and weekends, depending on client needs

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
