What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Cad Drafter position at Zephyr Engineering?
Purpose
Provide CIVIL Engineering drafting and design services that creates a set of permittable plans.
Key Responsibilities
At the Operational and Company Level
- Work closely with more senior staff members to learn and assist in design work.
Do the Work
- Transform initial sketches and rough product designs into working documents using CAD.
- Develop and review completed civil engineering drawings and designs to ensure adherence to established specifications and standards.
- Assist senior level staff with clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on moderately complex project issues.

Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED. Associates Degree preferred.
- Minimum of zero to three (0-3) years of drafting and engineering technician experience in the land development industry.
- Experience with computer applications and civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD and familiarity with reading construction plans
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work, have strong communication skills and be able to work in a team environment
- Desired design experience includes proficiency in grading, drainage, water, sewer and roadway plans and procedures.
