Description

Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Zepf Center's Runaway Youth Shelter is a critical lifeline for young people in our community and throughout Northwest Ohio. Designed to provide temporary shelter for runaway, homeless, or at-risk youth, Safety Net also provides care coordination for mental health and primary care services, life skills development, and academic support.

  

This individual is responsible for the day-to-day treatment and programming for youth therapy and adult SUD clients participating in Zepf Treatment Programs. Duties include client assessment, individual and group counseling, case management and linkage, and educational presentations. A high level of professionalism and flexibility is essential for the individual to complete job responsibilities while vacillating between departments.

It is expected and essential for all employees to meet their regular work schedule. All employees within this department will be required to learn all aspects of their position even when tasks/responsibilities are divided among staff member and/or shifts.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Promote and model a healthy lifestyle while adhering to productivity standards, policies, and procedures as defined by management.
  • Complete Youth/adult Clinical assessments and intake procedures for admission as requested.
  • Identify  and evaluate each client’s strengths, needs, abilities, and preferences to develop individualized service plans and monitor ongoing progress.
  • Provide individual counseling services to clients in both Youth therapy and adult SUD departments.
  • Provide crisis intervention services as needed.
  • Facilitate psycho-educational groups on various topics including, but not limited to: emotional regulation, social skills development, family and social focus groups, education and life skills, trauma informed, the disease model of addition, recovery for specific populations, relapse prevention, sober support activities, and family recovery.
  • Provide some case management services as needed, including initiating and coordinate client referrals when clinically indicated.
  • Consult and collaborate with other professionals as appropriate to support client care.
  • Complete all required documentation within established agency, regulatory, and funding timelines.
  • Participate  in regular staffing and treatment team meetings with appropriate agency staff.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with community agencies to enhance patient access to resources and services.
  • Orient clients to program guidelines, expectations, and policies.
  • Maintain flexibility in work hours to meet client care and programmatic needs.
  • Comply with all OhioMHAS, CARF, and other applicable regulatory and accrediting body standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrate the ability to develop, implement, and monitor appropriate treatment goals to support problem resolution and      recovery.
  • Possess knowledge of community resources and effectively advocate on behalf of clients to ensure access to needed      services.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to intervene in crisis situations and assist clients in resolving barriers to recovery.
  • Maintain required credentials and/or licensure and provide appropriate documentation for personnel records.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure coordinated, client-centered care and efficient service delivery.
  • Exhibit the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability and clinical judgment.
  • Demonstrate strong documentation skills, including the ability to write clear, concise, and accurate clinical notes in      compliance with confidentiality laws and regulatory standards.
  • Adapt effectively and promptly to changing client needs, priorities, and clinical presentations.
  • Work effectively within an interdisciplinary team approach to treatment, contributing to shared treatment planning and      outcomes.
