Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.
We are currently seeking a full time Staff Accountant to provide primary accounting function for all grant monitoring administration, compliance, grant accounting, and financial reports of awarded grants through their final closing. Duties also include assisting with grant budget submission and other projects under the direction of the Finance Director.
Hours: Monday(Remote); 8:30am - 4:30pm and Tuesday - Friday; 8:30am - 4:30pm
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares and inputs required entries, analyzes accounts and updates documentation for monthly close.
- Performs bank account reconciliations.
- Shares responsibility for year-end close including preparing work papers
- Reviews expenses for appropriate cost centers and line items.
- Prepares monthly financial reports after approval by CFO.
- Reconciles prepaids, A/R accounts, Manual A/P account, and other liability accounts.
- Reviews and approves ACH cash receipts entry.
- Backs up Accounts Payable Coordinator and Controller.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree required; Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred.
- 2 years related experience in a comparable environment with experience in fund accounting and grants/financial reporting.
- Knowledge of grant funding policies and procedures preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Access.
- Strong organizational, problem solving, and verbal/written communication skills.
- MIP account software experience preferred.
