We are currently seeking a passionate and visionary Volunteer Executive Director to work closely with the Board of Directors to guide the organizationās growth, strengthen partnerships, and help build a sustainable foundation for long-term success.
š Position OverviewThe Volunteer Executive Director serves as the chief executive leader of Zeo Infinite Robotics and reports directly to the Board of Directors. This individual will provide strategic leadership, oversee operations, support fundraising initiatives, and represent the organization in the community.
This role is ideal for an experienced nonprofit leader, educator, STEM professional, or community advocate who is passionate about youth education and robotics and is interested in making a meaningful impact through volunteer service.
šÆ Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership- Work with the Board of Directors to implement the organizationās mission and long-term vision
- Assist in developing and executing strategic growth plans
- Establish policies and procedures that support effective organizational operations
- Provide leadership guidance to volunteers and program leaders
- Oversee the planning and execution of robotics competitions, workshops, and outreach programs
- Support volunteer recruitment, coordination, and retention
- Ensure programs are delivered safely, effectively, and consistently
- Help develop scalable systems to support organizational growth
- Assist the Board of Directors with fundraising initiatives and donor engagement
- Identify grant opportunities and support grant-writing efforts
- Build relationships with sponsors, donors, and community partners
- Help organize fundraising campaigns and sponsorship outreach
- Serve as the primary representative of Zeo Infinite Robotics in public settings
- Build partnerships with schools, community groups, and STEM organizations
- Promote the organizationās programs through networking and outreach
- Support marketing and public awareness initiatives
- Ensure adherence to nonprofit policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the Board to maintain transparency and accountability
- Support reporting, documentation, and organizational compliance
Required:
- Passion for STEM education, robotics, and youth development
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a Board of Directors
- Experience managing teams, volunteers, or projects
- Ability to commit consistent volunteer time each month
Preferred:
- Experience in nonprofit leadership or management
- Background in education, engineering, robotics, or STEM fields
- Experience with fundraising, sponsorships, or grant writing
- Familiarity with robotics competitions or STEM education programs
- Experience working with community-based organizations
- Estimated 8ā15 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling with periodic virtual meetings
- Occasional travel for events, meetings, or program launches (as applicable)
