Essential Functions:
- Safety Compliance: Support all TTI/FSS Company and OSHA Safety Policies to ensure compliance, maintaining safety for personnel and equipment, and working closely with the company HSE team.
- Shipment Coordination: Coordinate and plan shipments with PMs and Yard Foremen. Participate in production and planning meetings as required, taking notes, asking questions, and setting meetings with personnel when needed.
- Paperwork Management: Ensure R&S Coordinators have all the necessary paperwork to properly check and plan loads by collaborating with PMs. Work with upper management for specialized loads as needed.
- Cost-Effective Solutions: Work with internal sources, vendors, and freight forwarders to secure the most cost-effective, on-time solutions.
- Load Planning: Collaborate with R&S Superintendents and Yard Foremen to plan loads, ensuring all parts are loaded, and promptly communicate any issues to the associated PMs.
- Permits and Coordination: Visit jobsites and routes with PMs and outside vendors as required to coordinate and obtain permits, escorts, trucks, etc., for over-dimensional loads.
This position requires daily coordination and communication with PMs, Yard Foremen, and Superintendents. The Logistics Coordinator will report directly to the Operations Manager while working closely with Project Managers and the Shipping Superintendent.
Additional Duties:
Additional responsibilities or duties may be assigned as needed to support company operations.
Quality Standards:
- Must be able to understand drawings and the appropriate codes, standards, and FDHWY, DOT, and OSHA specifications, rules, and regulations.
Teamwork:
- Actively participate in production meetings, safety meetings, planning/coordinating sessions, and training meetings.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must excel in each essential duty and always represent the company professionally. The requirements listed below are representative of the minimum knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Education and/or Experience:
- High school education and relevant specialized training.
- Over-dimensional loading and shipping planning experience preferred.
- 5 years of logistics experience required.
- Management and supervisory skills required.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs and computer skills.
Language Skills:
- The Logistics Coordinator must communicate professionally and respectfully both orally and in written form with co-workers, departments, and vendors
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
