About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Shipping Specialist who is eager to learn and develop in the optical field onsite in Obetz, Ohio. The ideal candidate has strong organizational skills, open to feedback, and looking to grow within a great team

The Obetz location offers a brand new and climate controlled facility with free daily meals and snacks You'll have the opportunity to move up in the organization based on performance reviews.

Schedule: Monday - Friday  7:30 am - 4:00 pm (must be available for overtime as needed, including weekends) 
Compensation: $ $19.00/hour (based on applicable experience)

Responsibilities:

• Scan and verify orders 
• Order tickets and picking, ensure accuracy of placed orders 
• Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders
• Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
• Organize receipted goods into correct locations
• Maintain good housekeeping, 6S
• Ensure daily / monthly KPIs are met
• Adherence to all company policies, processes, and procedures (i.e. Health & Safety Awareness)
• Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimize processes
• Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
• Report to management on activities and issues
• Inter-department running

Basic Qualifications: 

• Basic computer software skills (Windows, Excel etc.) 
• Strong organizational skills
• Good literacy and numeracy skills
• You are proactive and have a strong ability to identify & problem solve
• Follow instructions and production schedules
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous shipping and/or warehousing experience is a bonus
