The Machinist 3 receives on-the-job training to set up jobs with supervision.What will my responsibilities include?Can demonstrate ability to set-up, run, and dimensionally maintain quality in a production environmentGood Inspection Skills and Blueprint reading skills with ability to use all shop inspection toolsBasic Troubleshooting skills and must be able to recognize production problems such as out-of-tolerance Machining, poor finishes, damaged or worn cutters, and toolingAbility to dial in a hole or Edge-Find and set Machine OffsetsBasic understanding of G & M codeVersatility across multiple machine centers is a plusMeets job standard times with minimal supervisionFollows all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of safety equipment and relevant safety procedures.Other duties as assignedWhat key skills and experience do I need?Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for start of shiftProperly uses all tools necessary to complete a set up and inspect first part to be submitted for buy-off (such as edge finders, indicators, calipers, micrometers, etc.)Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detailCommunicates well verbally and in writingGood manual dexterity and sense of spatial relationshipsQualifications:Preferred:Three years plus experience running a CNC mill or recent Machinist Tech Training CertificateProven ability to consistently run good parts that meet production standardsStrong skills and aptitude in mathAbility to perform basic functions with MS Windows-based computer operating systems, such as opening and closing filesCompletion of Machine Proficiency test during interview processWhy join Zenix Aerospace AMT/Damar?We are committed to continuous sustainable growth through superior customer satisfaction.
