Job Description:

The System Administrator I is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's technology infrastructure, end-user computing environment, and cloud-based services. This position assists with the administration of Microsoft 365, Windows servers, user accounts, endpoint devices, network connectivity, and cybersecurity initiatives. Working under the direction of the IT Manager, the System Administrator I provides technical support, troubleshoots infrastructure issues, maintains system documentation, and helps ensure the stability, security, and performance of the organization's technology systems.

What will my responsibilities include?

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for users, including desktop, laptop, printer, mobile device, application, and connectivity issues.


• Assist with administration and maintenance of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Entra ID.


• Create, modify, and manage user accounts, permissions, security groups, and access controls.


• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows workstations and servers.


• Monitor system performance, availability, backups, and security alerts.


• Support endpoint management solutions, including software deployment, patch management, and device configuration.


• Assist in the administration of virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.


• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues involving TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, wireless networking, and related technologies.


• Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, including multi-factor authentication (MFA), endpoint protection, vulnerability remediation, and access reviews.


• Coordinate hardware deployments, upgrades, replacements, and lifecycle management activities.


•  Support IT projects related to infrastructure improvements, cloud services, cybersecurity, and business applications. 


• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

• 2-year technical degree and 3 years of professional experience, or equivalent.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This position works primarily in a shared office environment. This position may be required to enter the warehouse and/or machine shop environment at times throughout the work day; this environment may include exposure to noise, dust, fumes and vapor from coolant, etc. Work requires a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting and carrying. This position may require overtime and shift changes. This position is part of a team and requires excellent communication skills. It is fast-paced with daily deadlines. Job functions on and around mechanized equipment will present the need for alertness, accuracy and safety awareness. The work requires the ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds lifting and moving a variety of computer equipment i.e., monitors, printers, peripherals, etc. Position requires use of computer keyboard and mouse, and multi-line phone and other office machines and equipment. Salary Offering: $25.00 per hour to $35.00 per hour

Shift available:

M-TH, 7:00am - 3:30pm

• Shift Premiums for Weekend Shifts - work 33 hours, paid for 40 (weekend night shift) or work 36 hours, paid for 40 (weekend day shift)


• Shift Differentials - $4.00 per hour (weekday night shift), $2.00 per hour (weekend day shift), $4.00 per hour (weekend night shift)
