We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Scheduler with strong expertise in Primavera P6 to join our project management team. This role is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining schedules that ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, superintendents, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on timelines and deliverables.
- Track project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and adjust schedules as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Prepare reports on project status, including any potential delays or issues that may arise.
- Provide regular schedule reports, forecasts, and updates to leadership and clients.
- Ensure compliance with contracts and manage scheduling conflicts effectively.
- Perform “what-if” scenario analysis to assess project impacts.
- Support claim analysis and delay assessments as needed.
- Maintain clear communication with all parties involved in the project to facilitate smooth operations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in project scheduling within the construction industry.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6 required.
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction scheduling.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
