Day to Day
One of our growing fintech firms is seeking an SVP of Risk Management. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the SVP of Risk Management will lead all aspects of enterprise risk across credit, operational, compliance, fraud, cyber, third-party, and regulatory domains, ensuring strong governance while supporting sustainable, profitable growth in a fast-paced fintech environment. The role integrates the company’s risk appetite with business strategy, oversees capital adequacy and regulatory expectations, and partners closely with executive leadership, capital partners, and the board during a period of organizational transformation. The SVP will oversee credit risk and underwriting across consumer and commercial lending, including ownership of the LOS and underwriting platform, continuous optimization of AI/ML-driven models, portfolio monitoring, stress testing, and credit policy development. This leader will also drive fraud prevention, operational resilience, cybersecurity, and third-party risk management using advanced technologies, analytics, and strong internal controls. A core focus of the role is championing data, analytics, and emerging technologies to enhance risk modeling, fraud detection, data governance, and overall risk management capabilities. The SVP will support investor and capital partner relationships through due diligence and risk presentations while managing ongoing stakeholder communication. Finally, the role includes building and developing a high-performing risk organization, fostering a strong risk culture, and collaborating cross-functionally as the company scales.
