What are the responsibilities and job description for the Floor Cleaning Technician position at Zenith Commercial Cleaning?
We’re looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to join our commercial floor care team. This is an evening position for someone who enjoys staying active, takes pride in quality work, and is comfortable performing physically demanding tasks.
As a Floor Care Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining commercial hard floor surfaces using professional equipment. This position is ideal for someone who prefers hands-on work over sitting at a desk and enjoys seeing the results of a job well done.
Schedule
● Part-time
● Approximately 4–5 evenings per week
● 7:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Job Responsibilities
● Sweep hard floor surfaces
● Scrub floors using commercial floor machines
● Mop designated areas
● Buff and maintain finished floors
● Operate and care for commercial floor care equipment
● Follow company procedures to ensure high-quality results
● Report equipment or facility issues when observed
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding position.
● You will be on your feet and physically active for 100% of every shift.
● Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
● Must be able to push and maneuver heavy commercial floor equipment for extended periods.
● Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and repetitive movement are required.

● Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
● Strong work ethic and attention to detail
● Previous floor care or janitorial experience is a plus but not required—we will train the right candidate.
