Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Review, draft, and negotiate various contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Provide legal advice on contractual obligations and risk management.
- Ensure contracts are in compliance with legal standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate legal risks in contracts, advising stakeholders on potential legal issues and strategies to minimize liability.
- Work closely with business units to understand their needs, provide legal advice, and support contract negotiations.
- Stay up to date on relevant legal developments, regulations, and best practices related to contract law.
- Advise internal teams on contract terms, rights, obligations, and potential disputes or breaches.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with contractual terms and internal policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of contract management processes and templates.
- Identify potential legal issues and propose solutions to mitigate risks.
- Support in resolving disputes related to contracts and provide guidance during negotiations.
- Maintain comprehensive records of contract agreements and related documentation.
- Performs other duties and special projects, as required.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice before a state bar.
- 8 years of experience in contract law, preferably in a corporate legal environment.
- Strong understanding of contract drafting, negotiations, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and applications.

- Knowledge ERISA, employee benefits and/or Taft-Hartley plans.
- Experience in the healthcare industry and/or working for a third-party administrator.
