Vice President of Marketing

Zenger Folkman is seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Marketing to lead and scale our global marketing function. This executive will be responsible for building brand authority, driving demand generation, and positioning Zenger Folkman as the definitive voice in evidence-based leadership development. The ideal candidate brings deep B2B marketing expertise, a passion for data and research-driven storytelling, the ability to translate complex ideas into compelling market narratives and the desire to work collaboratively with the US and Global Channels Sales teams.
Key responsibilities
Strategy & leadership
· Develop and execute a comprehensive, multi-channel marketing strategy aligned with company growth objectives
· Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing marketing team across content, digital, product marketing, and events
· Partner with Sales, Content Solutions, and Client Services to ensure alignment across the full customer lifecycle
Brand & thought leadership
· Champion Zenger Folkman's brand voice and thought leadership positioning across all channels
· Oversee the development of research-based content including white papers, case studies, webinars, podcasts, and media placements
· Build executive visibility for Zenger Folkman's principals through speaking engagements, media, and industry events
Demand generation & pipeline
· Own pipeline contribution through targeted demand generation programs, ABM campaigns, and inbound marketing
· Optimize digital marketing performance across SEO/SEM, email, social media, and paid channels
· Develop and refine buyer personas, customer journey maps, and segmentation strategies for HR, L&D, and executive audiences
Analytics & operations
· Define, track, and report on marketing KPIs including MQLs, CAC, attribution, and ROI
· Manage the marketing budget with a performance-first mindset and rigorous measurement discipline
· Oversee martech stack including CRM (Salesforce), marketing automation, and analytics platforms
Hands-On Execution & Marketing Production
- Actively contribute to the creation and optimization of marketing assets and campaigns, particularly in a lean, high-impact environment
- Build, optimize, and continuously improve website pages, landing pages, and digital experiences to drive conversion and engagement, with hands-on expertise in paid advertising and digital marketing, including SEO and SEM (e.g., Google Ads).Ability to manage and enhance back-end CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation functionality to support lead flow, segmentation, and reporting
- Contribute to content production including video and audio (e.g., webinars, podcasts, short-form video) from concept through execution
- Support design and layout of marketing materials, ensuring consistency with brand standards across digital and print
- Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Photoshop) to directly contribute to marketing deliverables when needed
- Experience leveraging AI-driven marketing platforms to enhance targeting, personalization, and performance.
Requirements:
- 10 years of progressive B2B marketing experience, including 3 years in a senior marketing leadership role
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth through integrated marketing strategies
- Experience in professional services, HR technology, learning & development, or adjacent sectors
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable marketing decisions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfort with executive-level storytelling
- Experience managing and developing marketing teams across multiple disciplines
Preferred
· Familiarity with leadership development, organizational psychology, or talent management markets
· Experience with 360-degree feedback, assessments, or similar research-based products
· MBA or advanced degree in marketing, business, or related field
· Strong network within HR, L&D, or executive leadership communities
