Job Overview

ZenaTech is seeking a Fleet Manager to join our growing Mesa, AZ operations team. This is an entry-level role responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company's vehicle fleet in Mesa, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and available to support daily operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build hands-on experience in fleet operations.

Key Responsibilities

Fleet Coordination & Maintenance

• Maintain accurate records of all vehicles in the Mesa fleet, including registration, insurance, and maintenance history.
• Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs with service providers.
• Track vehicle mileage, fuel usage, and service intervals to minimize downtime.
• Maintain an organized inventory of fleet equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and vehicle conditions.

Vehicle Operations Support

• Assign and coordinate vehicle usage across teams and departments.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
• Monitor vehicle locations and usage to support daily operational needs.
• Assist drivers with troubleshooting basic vehicle issues.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure all vehicles meet state and company compliance, licensing, and insurance requirements.
• Maintain accurate logs of vehicle usage, incidents, and maintenance schedules.
• Assist with tracking and reporting recurring vehicle issues or damage.
• Support preparation of fleet policies, checklists, and standard operating procedures.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all DOT and state regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
• Participate in safety briefings and adhere to safe work practices at all times.
• Identify and report potential hazards, accidents, or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Contribute to a culture of safety and accountability within the team.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with operations and field teams to support vehicle needs.
• Communicate clearly and proactively on fleet status and availability.
• Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support other operational needs as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Prior experience with fleet management, vehicle maintenance, or logistics coordination.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs and work in outdoor environments.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Preferred

• Familiarity with fleet tracking or GPS software.
• Experience with inventory management or equipment tracking systems.
• Prior work in a transportation, automotive, or operations role.
