Job Overview
ZenaTech is seeking a Fleet Manager to join our growing Mesa, AZ operations team. This is an entry-level role responsible for overseeing and maintaining the company's vehicle fleet in Mesa, ensuring vehicles are safe, compliant, and available to support daily operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build hands-on experience in fleet operations.
Key Responsibilities
Fleet Coordination & Maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of all vehicles in the Mesa fleet, including registration, insurance, and maintenance history.
- Schedule and coordinate routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs with service providers.
- Track vehicle mileage, fuel usage, and service intervals to minimize downtime.
- Maintain an organized inventory of fleet equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and vehicle conditions.
Vehicle Operations Support
- Assign and coordinate vehicle usage across teams and departments.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and roadworthiness.
- Monitor vehicle locations and usage to support daily operational needs.
- Assist drivers with troubleshooting basic vehicle issues.
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all vehicles meet state and company compliance, licensing, and insurance requirements.
- Maintain accurate logs of vehicle usage, incidents, and maintenance schedules.
- Assist with tracking and reporting recurring vehicle issues or damage.
- Support preparation of fleet policies, checklists, and standard operating procedures.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all DOT and state regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Participate in safety briefings and adhere to safe work practices at all times.
- Identify and report potential hazards, accidents, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and accountability within the team.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with operations and field teams to support vehicle needs.
- Communicate clearly and proactively on fleet status and availability.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support other operational needs as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Prior experience with fleet management, vehicle maintenance, or logistics coordination.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Physical ability to occasionally lift up to 40 lbs and work in outdoor environments.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
Preferred
- Familiarity with fleet tracking or GPS software.
- Experience with inventory management or equipment tracking systems.
- Prior work in a transportation, automotive, or operations role.
