Zen Sushi & Sake – Lexington, KY
Zen Sushi & Sake is hiring a friendly, professional, and dependable Host/Hostess to join our front-of-house team. The host is the first and last person our guests interact with, so we are looking for someone who can create a warm welcome, stay organized during busy dinner service, and provide excellent hospitality.
Pay
$17–$20 per hour after tips
Schedule
- Monday and Tuesday: 3:45 PM–9:00 PM
- Friday and Saturday: 3:45 PM–10:00 PM
- Part-time evening position
- Weekend availability is required
Responsibilities
- Warmly greet guests when they enter the restaurant
- Manage the waitlist, reservations, and table seating
- Answer phone calls and assist with reservation requests
- Communicate accurate wait times to guests
- Coordinate with servers and management to maintain smooth table rotation
- Keep the entrance, host stand, and waiting area clean and organized
- Assist with takeout orders and other front-of-house duties when needed
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
- Maintain a calm, friendly, and professional attitude during busy service
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing, and guest-focused personality
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable and punctual
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant
- Able to stand and move throughout the shift
- Available to work Friday and Saturday evenings
- Previous restaurant or customer-service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
