Duties
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival, providing friendly and professional service with excellent phone etiquette
- Manage restaurant reservations using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort
- Answer incoming calls promptly, assist with reservation inquiries, and handle waitlist management effectively
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and waiting area to ensure a welcoming environment
- Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and servers regarding guest needs and seating times
- Assist in guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a fast-paced restaurant setting preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, waitlists, and table counts accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tables and guest requests efficiently
- Ability to handle phone communication professionally, demonstrating proper phone etiquette at all times
