What You'll Do
- Design HVAC, hydronic, VRF, mini‑split, and packaged mechanical systems for modular buildings
- Design plumbing systems including water supply, drainage, venting, stormwater, and specialty piping
- Perform mechanical and plumbing load calculations
- Select equipment and prepare specifications
- Produce construction documents in Revit and coordinate with architectural and structural teams
- Review shop drawings and support fabrication teams during module production
- Ensure compliance with IMC, IPC, IBC, and local codes
- Lead and mentor designers/drafters
- Support continuous improvement of modular MEP design standards
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5-10 years of mechanical/plumbing building‑systems design experience
- Strong proficiency in Revit (required)
- Experience with commercial, multifamily, hospitality, or industrial building projects
- Understanding of modular or prefabricated construction (preferred)
- Ability to lead designers/drafters and coordinate with cross‑functional teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills
