Zen Japanese Izakaya is one of the most authentic Japanese restaurant in Houston, located in River Oaks since 2016.
We serve high quality traditional Japanese sushi with fishes imported from Japan and also many Japanese hot food like Bento box and noodles.
We are now hiring Chef de cuisine, this is the great opportunity for you to learn authentic Japanese cuisine skills.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure high standards of Japanese cuisine preparation and presentation.
- Manage inventory control and food management to maintain quality and minimize waste.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and leadership to foster a collaborative environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the restaurant management to develop seasonal menus and special offerings.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Japanese cuisine and food preparation techniques
- Strong inventory management and control skills
